Reconstitution protocol (general)

Supplies. Bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol), alcohol swabs, insulin syringes (29 to 31 gauge, 0.3 to 1 mL), the lyophilised peptide vial.

Draw-up. Wipe the vial tops with alcohol. Draw the chosen bacteriostatic water volume into the syringe. Inject slowly down the side of the peptide vial, not directly onto the powder. Let the water run down the glass.

Mix. Do not shake. Roll the vial gently between your palms or let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes until the powder dissolves. Swirl if needed. Shaking denatures the peptide.

Storage. Reconstituted peptide keeps 14 to 30 days in the fridge (2 to 8 degrees C). Discard if cloudy or particulate. For peptides that lose potency fast (PT-141, selank, semax), use within 14 days.

Injection sites. Subcutaneous: abdomen (2 inches from the navel), thigh, upper glute, or the back of the upper arm. Rotate sites. For local injury work, inject as close to the target tissue as the anatomy allows.
